RTI Action Network (created about 1 year ago)
The RTI Action Network is dedicated to the effective implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI) in school districts in the United States. The goal is to guide educators and families in the large-scale implementation of RTI so that each child has access to quality instruction and that struggling students – including those with learning disabilities – are identified early and receive the necessary supports to be successful. The RTI Action Network is a program of the National Center for Learning Disabilities, funded by the Cisco Foundation and in partnership with the nation’s leading education associations and top RTI experts.
This group is designed for educators who support RTI Action Network. Joining this group is a way for educators interested in RTI Action Network's courses and programs to connect and work with one another.
Rural Education in Mexico (created 8 months ago)
La Catalina Educational Foundation is a Mexican non-profit organization situated in La Manzanilla, on the beautiful Pacific coast of Jalisco, aiming to raise the educational and economic level of the local people.
Our strategic vision is that in 5 to 10 years, a significant number of the children in the schools in La Manzanilla will be relatively proficient in English, opening more possibilities for their future. We are also aiming to significantly raise the overall literacy level of the children and the adult population, by teaching them literacy skills in Spanish and Mathematics. These skills, coupled with training in small business development, will work together to help improve the economic opportunities of the local people.
